Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking an experienced, influential and innovative individual for the role of Data Scientist, People Analytics & Performance Reporting. This is a newly created position at AHS that provides a unique opportunity to work with the Human Resources Analytics & Planning (HRAP) team. The Data Scientist will develop innovative and effective approaches to solve workforce analytics problems, and present results in meaningful ways to drive organizational change. Working in a collaborative environment alongside business/data analyst, you will lead discovery processes with different stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes. You will guide the process to build capacity, capability, and an analytical culture within Human Resources (HR) and AHS to promote the benefits of using evidence based workforce analytics in both everyday decision-making and long term planning. This position will lay the groundwork for higher -level analysis and move beyond data collection, management, verification and reporting to empirical evidence. You will implement and validate predictive models with a focus on big data, looking for order and patterns in data, as well as spotting trends that can help a bottom line.
